I’ve upgraded our photo gallery to the shiny new version: 2.0. This move should make all of our lives palpably better in every possible respect.
Until that happens, though, I have to fix all the photo links in the last few thousand blog entries. If you find a broken link, please post a comment, and I’ll zip right over to touch it up.
Saturday we hosted the first monthly Euchre tournament. 28 people at 7 tables spent hours playing Euchre. Everyone brought their own food and drink – which was all delicious. It was fun for all with the Bradleys’ kids on the third floor, the babies/toddlers (Mateo, Zoe, and Riley) on the second floor asleep, and the adults on the first floor playing some serious cards. So serious in fact that if someone was Euchred they had to ring a bell and pay a sol.
Todd decided to make the night an homage to Bob Uecker so his face was everywhere – greeting people at the door and explaining how to use the toilet. The night ended with a trivia quiz on Bob Uecker to see who would become official members of his fan club. The quiz was won by both Bill Anchuetz and Tim Hendershott, and their prize was to split a large bottle of Pilsen Trujillo.
Finally the night’s festivities came to an end and the winner, the loser, and the mediocre had to be calculated by our former math teacher and administrator extraordinaire, Marilyn Holladay.
The Winner: Sarah Kemme – who took home a lovely framed certificate with Bob Uecker’s head on it.
The Loser: Jeff Harkness – who received a 5 pack.
The Mediocre (statistical center): Anne Bradley, Marilyn Holladay (see above), Jean Piscioneri, and Tim Hendershott (also see above) – who split the Euchred soles.
It was a fabulous event, that will now be repeated the first Saturday night of the month. Click here to see the photos.
And if you were wondering – there are more pictures of Riley.
